"During my first test week I took 225 tests home with me. But the marking was not the worst part. Only through those tests did I realise that several students had been stuck on a single concept for weeks. For weeks I could have stepped in, if only I had seen it sooner. With TestWisely I want teachers to gain real insight into what students do and do not understand. Not necessarily to mark faster, but to see sooner what each and every student really needs."

Differentiation may well be the most difficult task in Dutch secondary education. Beginning teachers lack the tools, experienced colleagues lack the time. The result: students who get stuck are identified too late, and students who can handle more are not challenged. TestWisely solves this structurally with real-time learning objective analysis for teachers at mavo, havo and vwo (the Dutch pre-vocational, senior general and pre-university tracks).
The next school report is weeks away. Until then you do not know which students have been stuck for weeks. With formative assessment and real-time monitoring, TestWisely shows within days which students need extra help and which can handle more. Early identification makes the difference between a student who drops out and a student who can continue at their level.
A 5.8 on a school report tells you nothing. "Does not understand equations with fractions" does. TestWisely breaks every subject down into concrete learning objectives. For mathematics, chemistry, Dutch, English and all other subjects in secondary education. See exactly where a student gets stuck, instead of relying on an average grade.
Beginning teachers often do not know how to differentiate. Experienced colleagues do not have the time for it. After a practice session, TestWisely lists which students need extra help, who excels, which questions the class found difficult and at which RTTI level (a Dutch framework for question levels) the class still scores weakly. You choose what to do with it: extra explanation for one, more depth for another. Differentiation becomes scalable, controlled by the teacher.
"AI marking is the means. Improving education is the goal."
Differentiation in the classroom is one of the most difficult tasks in secondary education. Every educational vision demands it, yet few teachers truly manage it: no time, no overview, no tools that make the difference. TestWisely gives teachers at mavo, havo and vwo real-time insight per learning objective and per student. Differentiation is then no longer a utopia, but daily practice.
Dutch education is facing a structural teacher shortage and an increasing workload. Teachers often spend more time on marking and administration than on teaching itself. AI marking for open and closed questions takes over the time-consuming work, even during large test weeks. Those hours flow back to what really adds value: teaching, students, and the teacher themselves.
AI in education must never replace the teacher. Our AI is an assistant that flags, suggests and supports. The teacher remains ultimately responsible for every assessment, every piece of advice and every decision. Because technology only becomes valuable when it strengthens people, not when it replaces them. Developed by teachers, approved by teachers.
We are a young platform with great ambition. Here is where we stand today, with hard numbers instead of marketing promises.
Lumion Amsterdam is our first partner school. For the 2026/2027 school year we are in talks with several secondary schools in the Netherlands about new pilot programmes.
Small team, short lines of communication. Everyone has direct contact with schools and teachers.

Edu-V is the Dutch framework of agreements for the secure exchange of data between educational software and school systems. TestWisely is working towards participation in and certification within Edu-V (article 11.5 of our terms and conditions). We do not yet have an Edu-V quality mark.

The national single sign-on for Dutch education. Teachers and students log in with one click using their existing school account. No separate TestWisely passwords, no IT department that has to create accounts.

Zermelo is the market leader for timetables in Dutch secondary education. With the integration, classes, students and the timetable come into TestWisely automatically, and you link a test to a lesson in the timetable.

Every school concludes a data processing agreement with us, based on the Edu-V model. We only process data on behalf of the school. The parties involved are listed on our subprocessors page.

The data of schools, teachers and students is stored in the Netherlands, with a hosting provider that is ISO 27001-certified. The certificate belongs to that hosting provider, not to TestWisely itself. For marking, answers are not sent to an external AI service.
In a no-obligation 15-minute call we discuss your school's needs and show you what the platform can do.
